Summer school about to begin

After a whole year of learning and gathering experience the students decided to ... continue the process also during their summer holidays. Combining pleasure and business they set out to the Greek island of Chios where, within the project MELES-More Entrepreneurial Life at European Schools, they will attend a two-week course on Entrepreneurship.

The cyclic international meeting of scientific staff and companies involved in radar issues was held in Dresden in the period 23-26.06.2015. The World Hydrography Day in Szczecin

27.06.2015 was the World Hydrography Day. The national celebrations were held for the second time in Szczecin. The main theme was: "Oceans, seas and sailing routes - still waiting for complete examination and cartographic compilation".

Licence sold for the Pilot Navigation and Docking System 〈PNDS〉

Today, in the main office of Autocomp Management Sp. z o.o., Krzysztof Hładyszewski, the CEO of the company, and Konrad Frontczak, the CEO of Centrum Innowacji Akademii Morskiej w Szczecinie Sp. z o.o. (MUS Innovation Centre Ltd) signed an agreement on granting Autocomp three licences for PNDS that encompass applying the system in, inter alia, sea harbours.

The Polish University Rowing Championships on the course in Bydgoszcz finished on Saturday, 23rd May 2015. 14 eights took part in the race. Our male crew entered the A final of the competition with the fourth time.

MELES - More Entrepreneurial Life at European Schools First study visit at Białystok University of Technology Białystok 12 – 14 of May 2015

Another project partner meeting was held between 12-14 May 2015 in Białystok. The most important objective of the visit to the local academic centre of Białystok University of Technology - the project partner, was to finalise the draft version of Entrepreneurship syllabus and to define methods and forms of classes to be delivered during the summer school which is to be held on the Chios island, Greece in July.

Sup4Nav Sp. z o.o. - a beneficiary of SME Instrument in Horizon2020

Sup4Nav established by a team of creators from the Faculty of Navigation in order to implement the Navdec invention based on a licence given by the Maritime University was among 5 beneficiaries from Poland during the last call for proposals in the SME Instrument competition - phase I. The European Commission received 1569 proposals for assessment, 251 of which reached the required point threshold and 60.1% of which will receive funds.

12th Scientific and Technological Conference LogiTrans 2015

12th Scientific and Technological Conference LogiTrans 2015 was held in Szczyrk between 20th – 23rd April 2015. The conference was attended by representatives of the Maritime University of Szczecin: Wojciech Ślączka PhD Eng, Master Mariner, Remigiusz Dzikowski MSc Eng Master Mariner, Anna Anczykowska MSc Eng, and Paulina Sobkowicz MSc Eng. The conference was focused on various aspects of transport and logistics and it enabled academics from the whole Poland to exchange experiences in those fields.
