The cyclic international meeting of scientific staff and companies involved in radar issues was held in Dresden in the period 23-26.06.2015. The Maritime University of Szczecin was represented by a large group of scientific staff from the Institute of Geoinformatics: Professor Andrzej Stateczny, Jacek Łubczonek, PhD., Eng., Marta Włodarczyk-Sielicka, Msc and Izabela Bodus-Olkowska, Msc.
Over 270 people from all over the world took part in the conference. The most numerous group of representatives came from Germany and Poland. The conference was also attended by representatives from e.g. China, Russia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Italy, France, Bulgaria, Iran or even the USA and Australia.
The subject matter of presentations included e.g.: radar systems and applications, the use of radar satellite systems and weather radars as well as a session concerning the use of marine and inland radars.
Professor Andrzej Stateczny had the honour to lead the session connected with maritime and inland waters surveillance together with Thomas Fickenscher, PhD. from Germany.
Scientific papers were presented by e.g. Professor Andrzej Stateczny and Jacek Łubczonek, PhD., Eng.
The subject matter raised by presenters provoked a vivid discussion, e.g. on the subject of standardisation of radar equipment on inland waters.
The scientific staff of the Institute of Geoinformatics also participated actively in the poster session where 3 posters were presented connected with the subject matter.
- Comparative Analysis of Radar Images Compression Methods, Jacek Łubczonek, PhD Eng.
- Sensor Data Fusion Techniques for Environment Modelling, Izabela Bodus-Olkowska MSc
- Selection of SOM Parameters for the Needs of Clusterisation of Data Obtained by Interferometric Methods, Marta Włodarczyk-Sielicka MSc
