The winner - the Main Library of the Maritime University of Szczecin prepared many original events as a part of the Library Week 2015, e.g. a bookmark exhibition entitled “Don’t dog-ear”, “Whisper a word” - recommending fictional books, the “Academic Spelling Master” dictation. The winning “Library Escape Room” action is a logic team game transferred from the computer game world which involves releasing of a group of people from a closed room after solving a series of puzzles that require the use of books and knowledge of old library procedures. The Escape Room was arranged in the style of the 1960s university library with traditional catalogues, lending forms, etc. For participants of the game, this was a journey in time showing changes of library functions, equipment and infrastructure. Both students and university scientific staff took part in the game. The action was prepared by the Library employees and received wide publicity in national and local media.
