The story of one school - the State Marine Fishery School was established 55 years ago

A plaque commemorating the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the State Marine Fishery School was unveiled in the building of today's Maritime University of Szczecin. The School was located in the building in Wały Chrobrego in the years 1962-67.

The Faculty of Navigation of the State Maritime School was established in 1947. The school was, then, situated in Piastów Alley and gave beginning to maritime education in Szczecin.

One of the events taking place at Maritime University of Szczecin during the 70th anniversary of Maritime Education in West Pomerania was a book launching. The work by Professor Aleksander Walczak - "On the Szczecin School Fairway. Memories of the Maritime School Rector" was lunched on the board of Nawigator XXI.

A multi-event swimming competition as a part of the Day of Maritime University

Traditionally, during the Day of Maritime University, MUS students - representatives of individual faculties, competed in swimming. Triple success of the Choir of the Maritime University of Szczecin at the Cantat 48 National Choir Contest in Legnica.

In the 48th edition of the "Legnica Cantat" Polish Choir Contest, which was held last weekend, the Choir of the Maritime University of Szczecin conducted by Sylwia Fabiańczyk-Makuch became the winner of the Henryk Karliński Prize winning the Golden Diploma and the 1st place.

The 2nd stage of the National Olympiad of the English Language

In the period 21 - 22.04.2017, the 2nd stage of the National Olympiad of the English Language for Students of Technical Universities was held in Poznan. Based on the results of the 1st stage on the Advanced level /67 students from our University/, five students from the Maritime University of Szczecin qualified for the 2nd stage /Proficiency level/.

On the sailing trail

The Maritime University of Szczecin and the West Pomeranian Sailing Trail have signed a letter of intent as regards cooperation. The common ground is the specialisation of Yacht Port Operation offered by the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering, which is unique in Poland.

Bsr Countries Have Joined Forces in Establishing New Cooperation Platforms

The Baltic Sea region LNG cluster and the LNG Competence Centre were established in order to enhance international cooperation in the field of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
