The Faculty of Navigation of the State Maritime School was established in 1947. The school was, then, situated in Piastów Alley and gave beginning to maritime education in Szczecin.
A very important tradition is the meeting of the oldest graduates of the first State Maritime School in this building. Neither could the meeting be missed during the celebration of the 70th anniversary - on Wednesday, 31st May, at 20.00, a group of university graduates and employees laid flowers in front of the building. The meeting was attended by Agnieszka Deja, PhD. Eng., MUS Vice-Rector for Teaching, who emphasised how important it is to remember the place where it all began.
