Students of the Faculty of Economics and Engineering of Transport examined yacht ports in Germany

In the period 12 – 13.07.2017, as a part of the project South Coast Baltic, a survey was conducted among sailors in selected yacht ports in Germany, Poland, Denmark and Lithuania. The aim of the study was to learn about the preferences of sailors as regards selecting sailing routes and the activities undertaken in the visited towns.

The story of one school - the State Marine Fishery School was established 55 years ago

A plaque commemorating the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the State Marine Fishery School was unveiled in the building of today's Maritime University of Szczecin. The School was located in the building in Wały Chrobrego in the years 1962-67.

The Faculty of Navigation of the State Maritime School was established in 1947. The school was, then, situated in Piastów Alley and gave beginning to maritime education in Szczecin.

In the period 21 - 22.04.2017, the 2nd stage of the National Olympiad of the English Language for Students of Technical Universities was held in Poznan. The Maritime University of Szczecin and the West Pomeranian Sailing Trail have signed a letter of intent as regards cooperation. The common ground is the specialisation of Yacht Port Operation offered by the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering, which is unique in Poland.

The Baltic Sea region LNG cluster and the LNG Competence Centre were established in order to enhance international cooperation in the field of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The agreements were signed on 26th of April during the conference “Go LNG – Building LNG competence and business partnership for the Baltic sea region”.
