On 28th March, we selected the best MUS badminton players. Employees and students of our university took part in the tournament held in the sports hall in Wały Chrobrego.
The contestants competed on four courts in female and male categories. Each match lasted until two sets of 21 points were won.
The matches were very fierce and, very frequently, the third set of 15 points was necessary to determine the final result.
After the group “all-play-all” competition, the following women qualified for the semi-final: Sylwia Falkowska, who played with Justyna Lemke, and Karina Ludek with Natalia Szylak. Małgorzata Cibor and Justyna Janasiak were also very close to getting to the best four.
Eventually, in the final, Sylwia Falkowska beat Karina Ludko, winning the fisrt place and Natalia Szylak beat Justyna Lemke.
In the male category, Paweł Kisielski beat Krzysztof Bereżnicki and Artur Lipecki, following a fierce fight, beat Andrzej Kornacki.
