“New Horizons” - Hypack training
Participants of the New Horizons project who are also students of Hydrography, supervised by Grzegorz Zaniewicz, MSc, took part in a training on the use and operation of Hypack software. The training was held at Gdańsk University of Technology.

On 11th November, the Independence Regattas were held on the boat harbour. In this way, students from the rowing section of the MUS Academic Sports Association commemorated the 100th anniversary of Polish independence.

German Oerlikon anti-aircraft gun on a naval mounting was pulled out of the water as a part of the Wracks of Kołobrzeg project of the Museum of Polish Arms in an action carried out together with the project partners.

A meeting of the National Section of Inland Navigation and Maritime Economy was held on 16th October 2018 at the Maritime University of Szczecin. The meeting was attended by 13 Section members.
Over 200 exhibits in the Maritime Science Centre
A description of 220 exhibits connected with the maritime history of West Pomerania and water-related issues were presented during the meeting at the Maritime University of Szczecin by Piotr Kossobudzki, an expert of the KarekDesign-Neuron.edu consortium.
Memorandum of cooperation with Jakarta
We have signed a memorandum of cooperation with Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran - Maritime Higher Education Institute in Jakarta on board of Dar Młodzieży.
An unmanned vessel model tested in the Marine Rescue Training Centre
The prototype of an autonomous vessel was created in the Department of Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding. The vessel model is 3.15 m long, 0.46 m wide and has a draught of 0.17 m.

The Centre for Operation of Floating Objects to be established
The Marshal of the West Pomerania Province, Olgierd Geblewicz and the MUS Rector Wojciech Ślączka signed an agreement on co-financing of the construction of the Centre for Operation of Floating Objects (COFO) on 2nd October.
