On 10th December in the university Senate Hall a workshop was organised entitled "Implementation of electromobility in maritime logistics”.
The workshop was organised by the Faculty of Engineering and Economics of Transport of the Maritime University of Szczecin in cooperation with the Strategy Office of the Szczecin City Council as a part of the EUFAL project.
The participants of the meeting included several tens of people - representatives of companies and institutions involved in transport and logistics, e.g.: Garo, Grupa Polmotor, Poczta Polska, the Police as well as the City Council and the Maritime University of Szczecin. The meeting was opened by the EUFAL project leader - Jens Klauenberg from DLR Institute of Transport Research - who presented the details of the Electric Urban Freight and Logistics project.
The meeting involved a discussion of the key aspects related to the development of electromobility and its implementation. During the workshop, the participants jointly considered the extent to which electromobility has the potential to support urban freight transport and sustainable urban mobility. They were genuinely involved and worked actively on the solutions to the problems of ecological transport. The EUFAL project manager also summed the meeting up as very successful and the participants are already planning another event of this type. We are waiting for innovative solutions!
