A meeting of the National Section of Inland Navigation and Maritime Economy was held on 16th October 2018 at the Maritime University of Szczecin. The meeting was attended by 13 Section members.
The meeting resulted in electing members of the Section presidium:
Wojciech Ślączka, DSc. Eng., Master Mariner, Professor of MUS was elected the President and Mirosław Wielgosz, PhD. Eng., Master Mariner - the Vice President.
The other presidium members included Edward Ossowski and Rafał Woźniak, whereas Karolina Pilip became the secretary. A case study on the Bydgoszcz Water Node was presented during the meeting and the action plan was developed for the Section’s forthcoming term of office (2018-2022) and the year 2019. The tasks of the body will include such activities as regular organisation of Inland Shipping conference or establishment of the Inland Navigation Expert Centre.
