The Motorboat Skipper course at Marine Rescue Training Centre

On 18. – 27.03.2011 the Marine Rescue Training Centre organizes the Motorboat Skipper course. The completion of the course allows to get motorboat skipper license, which is essential while driving motorboat boats with engine power of 60 KW on sea waters in the area of two nautical miles from the shore in daytime.

W Centrum symulacyjnym LNG prowadzone są zajęcia dla studentów II roku o specjalności transport morski. Przedmiotem prowadzonych ćwiczeń jest eksploatacja zbiornikowców i gazowców oraz przewozy morskie.

Vacancies for a free of charge training at the Marine Rescue Training Center

We are announcing that there are still vacancies for a free of charge training ‘Loading and unloading container cargo’ training to be launched at the Marine Rescue Training Center of the MU of Szczecin on 18-20.03.2011. Interesting books on container loading will be distributed among the trainees, who will have the opportunity to practice container loading using BELCO program. Snacks during the training included.

We are inviting students and graduates (up to six months after their thesis defence) to the ‘Auto-presentation’ workshops ‘ SUBJECTS: learning the rules of information transfer and reception, vocal and pronunciation exercises, body language, stress fighting before, during and after the presentation, methods of solving speech problems like trembling voice and too quiet speaking as well as the issue concerning the choice of the presentation topic and its professional realization.

Great Success– A Pole is the chairman of the International Maritime Organization Subcommittee

Zbigniew Szozda, PhD, from the Maritime University of Szczecin has been elected for the second time the chairman of the Subcommittee for Stability and Load Lines and Fishing Vessels Safety – (SLF). On 10-14.01.2011 at the headquarters of the International Maritime Organization in London, the 53rd Session of the Subcommittee for Stability and Load Lines and Fishing Vessels Safety – (SLF) was held. Zbigniew Szozda, PhD, a scientific – research worker of the Maritime University of Szczecin, led the seminar, during which he was elected a SLF Chairman for 2011/2012.
