On 16-18 October 2013 in Świnoujscie was held the XVth International Scientific and Technical Conference Marine Traffic Engineering - MTE 2013.
The conference objective was to present the results of research and development regarding the theoretical works as well as those applied to maritime industry concerning the following issues:
- safety and reliability of transport systems;
- safety management systems in transport;
- problems of LNG transport by sea and operation of LNG powered vessels;
- risk assessment in transport systems;
- safety of transport and navigation;
- marine, pilot and weather navigation;
- marine traffic engineering
- meteorology and nautical oceanography;
- satellite navigational systems,
- positioning systems and marine cartography;
- geomatics and GIS application;
- telematics in transport;
- simulation methods;
- vessel maneuvering and hydrodynamics,
- maritime education,
- VTS, SAR, etc.
During the conference several dozens of research and development works were presented. The authors had the opportunity to exchange information and research results when participating in seven scientific sessions. The most popular were plenary sessions, which presented the results of the Polish research centers, as well as from Germany, Slovenia and Lithuania.
The conference was co-financed by the Office of the West Pomeranian Province and from the Martech_LNG project.
