The closing gala of the 13th competition for the Nobel prize of the West Pomeranian region took place on the 8th June 2014.
In the category of Nautical science the award was granted to the team of 11 researchers under Prof. Zbigniew Pietrzykowski from the Faculty of Navigation of the Maritime University of Szczecin. The team was honoured for developing the NAVDEC system to facilitate the safe navigation.
