The conductor of the Choir of the Maritime University of Szczecin - Sylwia Fabiańczyk-Makuch was honoured with the West Pomerania Nobel Prize for artistic achievements in 2017.
The prize promotes the most outstanding scientific achievements of the West Pomerania Province. The prizes were officially handed in on 24th June during a gala organised at the Academy of Art.
Year 2017 was abundant in outstanding events and huge successes of the ensemble conducted by Sylwia Fabiańczyk- Makuch - beginning with the most significant prizes in festivals in Saint Petersburg, Lublin or Legnica and ending with joint concerts with such stars as Kayah, KROKE or Andrea Bocelli. Also last year, the conductor was conferred the degree of a habilitated doctor. Our congratulations on the Nobel Prize, which is the crowning achievement.
