An official agreement on cooperation between the Maritime University of Szczecin and the Maritime School Complex in Darłowo was signed on Friday, 9th March, in Szczecin.
The agreement was signed by the Rector, Wojciech Ślączka, and the Principal of the Maritime School Complex in Darłowo - Magdalena Miszke.
The understanding sanctions joint activities which the university and the school had already undertaken - students of the Maritime School Complex in Darłowo had already taken part e.g. in lectures, visited the MUS laboratories and simulators. Currently, we are undertaking joint steps for the benefit of increasing the quality of vocational education within the scope of Navigation, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Transport and Computer Science.
The official visit was also an opportunity for the school students from the navigation, mechanical and logistics classes to visit the MUS laboratories and take part in short lectures. They found out how NAVDEC system (the invention of MUS scientists) works and how LNG transport is operated; they could have a closer look at automation of logistics processes and operation of a vessel engine room.
The aim of joint actions of the school and the university is - first and foremost - development of young people’s activity as well as their creative, intellectual and, as a result, vocational potential.
