Through scientific experiments, they will enter the world of ocean technology, navigation, physics and sailing. In the school year of 2018/2019, the West Pomerania children can expect great attractions.

20 children will participate in the activities of the Children’s University of the Maritime Science Centre. The fist recruitment for the Szczecin School of Cabin Boys is to start soon. The agreement on the establishment of the University was signed by Olgierd Geblewicz, the Marshal of the West Pomerania Province, Zbigniew Zalewski, the President of the West Pomerania District Sailing Association and Witold Jabłoński, the Director of the Maritime Science Centre.

The Cabin Boys’ School will definitely create a possibility for gaining knowledge, extending the intellectual horizons and developing of scientific passions. Interactive lectures, interesting experiments and practical workshops will evoke real learning passion and love of science in children. Thus, I am deeply convinced that we are building a great value, which is teaching science through entertainment. I hope many participants of our Cabin Boys’ School, in the future, will be students of the Maritime University - said the Marshal, Olgierd Geblewicz.

This will be an entry into the world of passion, skills and science, the world of sea and sailing. The Professor Jerzy Stelmach Children’s University is a proof that the Maritime Science Centre will not be associated only with the building. This is supposed to be the place from which the positive energy will get to various spaces and environments - added Witold Jabłoński, the Director of the Maritime Science Centre.
