This year the Maritime University of Szczecin is experiencing a boom in their faculties and departments. Although still uncommon for high school graduates to submit their applications for technical colleges, the results of recruitment at our University are the evidence of much greater interest in our educational offer than in previous years, particularly at the Faculty of Marine Engineering where over 200 first year students will begin their study. At the most popular, Faculty of Navigation, the recruitment for most courses was completed in the first period. Among the busiest were geodesy and cartography (3 people in one place), and navigation. The most popular course of the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering – turned out logistics. Maritime University of Szczecin, as one of the few universities in the region has launched all of the planned courses of study.

Additionally, young people are attracted to technical studies by the possibility of studying at the modern university, equipped with technologically advanced laboratories and simulators, and be conferred the title of engineer, opening many doors in the labor market, says Katarzyna Opalińska, a spokeswoman for the university - Number of those willing to study at the Maritime University of Szczecin for a few years has been steadily increasing. This is very positive news. Young people just want to study with us.

Most first-year students are residents of our province. Among this year’s freshmen, however, are also the “raisins” from even the remotest places of the country, for example, from Rzeszow. This year, for the first time on the banner of the Maritime University of Szczecin will pledge more than 200 women and almost 1000men, including about 80 foreigners (most from the Czech Republic, Belarus and Ukraine).
