On 17 March 2015 in the seat of the SSPA Sweden in Goeteborg another (second) work meeting of the ESABALT (Enhanced Situational Awareness to Improve Maritime Safety in the Baltic) project took place. The project is carried out by partners from Finland, Sweden and Poland.
Its main aim is to develop a feasibility study of providing an enhanced situational awareness solution for all ships operating in the Baltic, including real-time maritime traffic monitoring and a marine environment observation system relevant for maritime transportation and accident prevention.
The meeting was attended by a representative of MUS and its Faculty of Navigation - Paweł Banaś, PhD. During the meeting project progress was discussed including the results of real time tests on parts of the system conducted on a seagoing vessel.
