The CantaRode festival was held in the period 10-13 May in the Dutch city of Kerkrade. The competitors included choirs e.g. from Canada, Belgium, the Netherlands, Russia and Poland.

The jury emphasised high level of competition presentations and the Choir of the Maritime University of Szczecin conducted by Sylwia Fabiańczyk-Makuch received very favourable opinions for unmatched interpretation of musical works, impeccable intonation, unique musicality and original artistic expression.
During the two-stage auditions in Parkstad Limburgtheater HUB, the choir performed a very ambitious and stylistically varied repertoire - from Renaissance music to modern compositions.
The festival was accompanied by numerous concerts e.g. in the historic library in Wittem, where the audience received the choir with huge enthusiasm.
