The second edition of the Polish Ship Managers' Association Competition for the Best Graduate of a MUS was held on 10th September 2018 in the Senate Hall of the Maritime University of Szczecin.

The competition committee was composed of:

Ireneusz Kuligowski, Piotr Masny, Dariusz Jellonnek , Paweł Kmieciak

and was accompanied by the Observers:

Agnieszka Deja, PhD. Eng. - Vice Rector for Teaching of MUS, Commander Jerzy Janik (acting on behalf of Commander Dariusz Bugajski, DSc. - Vice Rector for Education of the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia).

The winner was Eric Kulbiej (a graduate of the Faculty of Navigation of the Maritime University of Szczecin), the second place was taken by Maciej Weber (a graduate of the Faculty of Navigation of the Maritime University of Szczecin) and the third place by Jamal Hamoud (a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the Naval Academy in Gdynia).

A special distinction was awarded to Marek Sojka (a graduate of the Faculty of Marine Engineering of the Maritime University of Szczecin) for the demonstrated knowledge and approach to practical problems as well as years of experience in his professional and social activity.

As the Committee members emphasised, the participants demonstrated a high level of practical and theoretical knowledge.

The award ceremony will take place during the Maritime Economy Forum in Gdynia on 12th October 2018.
