Traditionally, Scientific Association of Transport and Logistics of Maritime University of Szczecin organized the 4th all-Poland Transport/Logistic Seminar ( 06-08.05.22010).
This year “Sea Point” was divided into two theme panels: 1st –Balanced development of the Polish transport, 2nd – Logistics of hazards. The Symposium was attended by young people, passionate about transport and logistics, from: Poznan, Gdynia, Warszawa, Katowice, Zabrze, Krakow and z Bielsko- Biała.
We took the honor of hosting the MU authorities: Zbigniew Szozda,PhD, Prof. Zofia Jóźwiak, Vice Dean Stanisław Iwan, PhD, Izabell Kotowska, PhD (tutor of the SA) and Dorota Lozowicka, PhD and Bogusz Wisnicki, PhD who gave their lectures. There were also companies of TSL branch like OpenNexus, TimoCom and consistently to the topic of the symposium Fire Brigade and Army representatives.
The first day of the Symposium was devoted to presentation of papers by students from other universities, followed by a visit to Provincial Center of Crisis Management in Szczecin.
On the 2nd day, the students presented and solved logistic problems so called “Case Study” arranged and evaluated by our lecturers, whereas TimoCom conducted free of charge logistical workshops to broaden logistic knowledge of the future logisticians.
Traditionally, the 3rd day was full of surprises prepared by the organizers. In the past years symposium participants had a chance to visit the port, shipyard and the training –research vessel m/v Nawigator XXI.
Having visited the planetarium, simulators and our training –research vessel m/v Nawigator XXI, the students were invited to take part in the Marine Rescue Training Center drill, which they really enjoyed since it was a completely new unforgettable experience. Thus, we may count the 4th all-Poland Transport/Logistic Seminar a success of our SA, gaining prestige and growing interest, which means right future motivation and perspectives. We want to give thanks to all participants who contributed to, or supported our initiative, mainly the MU authorities, SA members and other participants. Thank you and see you next year!
