On 3-4 February 2016, Poznan University of Economics hosted the presidents and board members of SPVs of universities and institutes across the country. Among the participants there was also the board of the Centre for Innovation at the Maritime University of Szczecin.
The first day of the conference was devoted to the legal issues related to the operation of special purpose vehicles and the relations with Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the National Centre for Research and Development, and the Polish Business and Innovation Centers Association in Poland. Among the invited guests was Peter Dardziński PhD., Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Łukasz Jasek, Director of the Department for System Projects and Programming of the National Centre for Research and Development, and Marzena Mażewska, President of the Polish Business and Innovation Centers Association in Poland.
The second day was entirely devoted to cooperation with enterprises. The business breakfast was attended by the representatives of seven large companies and institutions of Wielkopolska region (Amica Wronki S.A., Aquanet S.A., Bank Zachodni WBK S.A., the Provincial Police Headquarters in Poznan, Novol Sp. z o.o., Veolia Energy Poznan S.A. Volkswagen Poznań Sp. z o.o.) responsible for the development of relations with academia. The last item of the agenda comprised a study visit of the special purpose vehicles representatives to the Solaris Bus and Coach S.A. premises in Bolechowo.
MUS Innovation Centre held a series of talks with these companies so as to present the offer of our academics and researchers. The talks will be continued with the purpose of implementing research and development operations.
The meeting was held under the auspices of the Special Purpose Vehicles Alliance.
