On May 11-13, 2011 at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw, the 30th Jubilee Seminar of Scientific Circles of Engineers and Mechanics was held. The seminar was attended by students, PhD students and young researchers from 10 universities of four different countries who gave 47 presentations.
The scope of seminars included issues related to:
- construction and design of internal combustion engines,
- vehicles construction and road safety,
- operation of motor vehicles,
- construction and operation of engineering - construction and road machinery
- manufacturing technology and repair,
- modern construction materials,
- logistics and transport economics,
- tribology and the use of liquid fuels and lubricants,
- ecology in the automotive industry and its hinterland.
Maritime University of Szczecin was represented by two scientific circles:
Students Scientific Research Circle of Ship Power Plants composed by Krzysztof Abramowicz, Szymon Felczak, Kolesiński Marcin, Tomasz Pogorzelski and Szymon Mruk and Scientific Circle ”Engineer”/Mecchanic/ composed by Krzysztof Rozanka, Piotr Chomicz and Karol Jaworski.
Karol Jaworski, a representative of SC ‘Mechanic’, presented the results of cavitations erosion resistance of the alloy FeAl42 and assessed by the Commission consisting of representatives of the Council of the Faculty of Marine Engineering, in the category of best student, received the second prize. During the free session, students visited the laboratories of the Chair of Advanced Materials and Technology at the Faculty of New Technologies and Chemistry at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw.
