The conferral ceremony took place on 13 June 2024 in the Senate Hall of the Maritime University of Szczecin.
The title was received by Professor Stanisław Gucma, DSc, Eng., Master Mariner - the long-serving rector of our university. The resolution of the MUS Senate, which granted this honour, highlighted the recognition of outstanding contributions to higher maritime education, particularly in pioneering maritime traffic engineering research, and in appreciation of the commitment to developing the Maritime University of Szczecin.
It was not me alone who accomplished all these successes, but the team I had the privilege to create and manage - he emphasised.
The main speech was given by the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications Prof. Zbigniew Pietrzykowski, DSc,Eng.

The next day, the commemorative oak tree was planted on the grounds of the Centre for Operation of Floating Objects.
