Second edition of student internships conducted by the Careers Office for the project 'Development and promotion of technical directions of the Maritime University' has been completed.
This year 19 people (7 men and 12 women) attended the internships. The largest was the group of students and graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering. Among the 19 trainees 16 persons benefited from trainings previously carried out by the Careers Office, e.g. in the field of self-presentation and assertiveness.
This year internship edition was highly appreciated by the participants. After completing an internship all the interns confirmed their practical skills and self-esteem increase, as well as their self-esteem in the labor market. An undoubted advantage was acquiring professional experience. Almost half of this year’s interns got a job (or a proposal for its adoption) - 9 persons. It is worth noting that 10 people were students of the final year of study.
For most of the trainees it was the first experience of work and a chance to use their knowledge in practice and at the same time an opportunity to work under the supervision of experienced people, as well as to get to know many interesting aspects of working in the industry. If you are interested in participating in the next edition, we announce that next year we are planning to organize internships for 16 people during the 07-09.2013r.
