On 13 November 2012, for the third time, the rivalry emerging the best university teacher, student and faculty of the Maritime University of Szczecin in rowing ergometer, sport, in which our university representatives achieve the highest scores on the sports arenas, both locally and nationwide.

The competition traditionally started with a marine aspect, 'stroke of glasses' and the official opening by the President of the AZS Academic SportsClub, Przemyslaw Rajewski, PhD. Among guests there were Piotr Trejchel, PhD, vice rector for teaching, Andzeja Montwiłł, STW President and Olympic champion in rowing, Konrad Wasielewski who cheered our contestants. First contestants for the 500m distance were hearing impaired children from the Special School, who like every year accept our invitation and participate in numerous races and fun. After the children's game came took their turn academics representing various Maritime University faculties.

At a distance of 500m Faculty of Navigation was represented by Tomasz Pluta, PhD, Master Mariner, Zbigniew Szozda, PhD and Marcin Przywarty, PhD; Faculty of Marine Engineering was represented by: Grzegorz Nicewicz, PhD. Arthur Bejger, PhD and Marcin Szczepanek, Phd; Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering represented the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Zofia Jozwiak.

This year, in the individual classification, the best was Thomas Pluta (with time1:34,2), the second place was taken by Grzegorz Nicewicz (1:37,4) and the third was Zbigniew Szozda reaching the time of 1:38,5. In the female classification the winner turned out Zofia Jozwiak ( 2:47,3). After counting the individual race results the Faculty of Navigation turned out the winner before the Faculty of Marine Engineering followed by the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering. Next was the student competition in each weight class for a distance of 1000m.

1st position Agata Witzurki-3: 57.9, 2nd Inha Kurmas-4: 09.8

Normal weight women
1st Joanna Gladysz-3: 59.6, 2nd Renata Krawczyk-4: 13.9, 3rd Wisniewska K-4, 29.3

Men's light weight
1st Krzysztof Dziubek-3: 10.9, 2nd Kamil Tarnowski-3: 12.1, 3rd Pepliński P-3: 18.2

Men's Heavy weight
1st James Cysarz-3:04,5; 2nd Łukasz Lech-3: 07.3, 3rd Konrad Falat-3: 07.5

Numerous fans, who came to watch the race, also on a large video screen which was a great attraction, could also take part in the dancing lesson, prepared by the event organizer, University AZS Club Board together with the rowing Section.
