Special acknowledgements
- The continuous development of our university results from the hard work and commitment of many of you, something that I witness with satisfaction every day - said the Rector of Maritime University of Szczecin, PhD, Eng., Master Mariner, Wojciech Ślączka, MUS Professor.- Setting new challenges, and striving for long-range, ambitious goals brings results of which I am very proud. Yesterday's plans become facts today and we start to implement them right away. Standing before you today I can only say THANK YOU - he emphasized.
New Polish name for our University
Polish name of the MUS will be changed from "Akademia Morska" to "Politechnika Morska". The word "politechnika" comes from ancient Greek - polýtechnos - and means proficient in many arts. In the Polish educational system, a higher education institution called "politechnika" is the direct equivalent of a university or institute of technology in the generally accepted English educational terminology. Our name in English though, will not be changed and remains the Maritime University of Szczecin.Partners and sponsors of 75th-anniversary celebration
