As a part of the project ‘Development and promotion of technical studies at the Maritime University of Szczecin’ Careers Office announces recruitment for the third (the last one!) edition of paid work placements in companies for students and graduates of the Maritime University.

Date of recruitment: 9 - 23 May 2013.

Number of internships: 16

APPLY FOR INTERNSHIP, IT’S REALLY WORTHY?

Place of form submission: Careers Office of the Maritime University of Szczecin, room 34 (from 10:00 - 13:00)

Below you will find some important information regarding internships:

DURATION: 3 months (the period from 1 July to 30 September 2013)

DURING THE PLACEMENT:

You shall work a minimum 24 hours per week;
Perform the duties specified in the contract;
Your employer shall take substantive care after you;
You shall gain experience.

AFTER THE PLACEMENT YOU SHALL GET:

Remuneration for the period of three months,
References from the company and a certificate for successfully completed courses,
...maybe an offer of further cooperation.

WHAT CONDITIONS MUST BE MET IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO APPLY FOR THE INTERNSHIP?

Being a student or graduate of the Maritime University of Szczecin (up to 6 months from the date of the thesis defense)
Get as many points as possible for:

Being a final year student or a graduate of MUS (up to 6 months from the date of the thesis defense)
Average grades from the last semester of study,
Activity in the life of the university,
Knowledge of foreign languages,
Receiving maintenance grants,
Proving that your permanent address is a rural area,

Meet the basic needs of employers
NOTICE: for internships can apply only persons who are not registered as unemployed at the Labour Office, they are not employed and do not run their own business.

WHAT TO DO TO BE ABLE TO APPLY FOR THE INTERNSHIP?

STEP1 Download and complete the application form – download
STEP2 Take the completed form to the Dean’s office and ask them to fill in the appropriate box (graduates as well).
STEP3 Collect the required documents.
STEP4 Bring the form with your student record book (index book) to the Careers Office room 34 (between 10:00 - 13:00).
STEP5 Wait for the announcement on the ranking list of Careers Office and at http://mechatronika.am.szczecin.pl

NOTICE: Applications for internships will be accepted only 23.05.2013r. until 13:00
