Polish Green Network invites residents of Szczecin student hostels to participate in a competition ‘Energy is you - get into the grid!’ The competition commences on 18 November 2013.
For two weeks, students, residents of four Szczecin dormitories including Korab, the Maritime University of Szczecin hall of residence, will produce electricity, riding on special bikes generating energy. The dorm, which will produce the most power due to bikes provided by the Polish Green Network, wins the mini bikes and bike parking at a value of 15 000 PLN!
The competition is a part of a Polish Green Network campaign ‘Modern, energy efficient, responsible - smart grids’. One of the activities of the Network is a ‘prosumer’ contest for students. What is a prosumer? It’s someone who not only consumes, but also produces energy. In this role students will play for two weeks and get to know the real size of each consumed Wh. We invite all students to warm up their muscles and get fit for the ‘race’. Change your energy into electricity and an award for the whole dorm.
