The Senate of the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia at the session on 8th January 2015 i.e. on the 85th birthday of Prof Aleksander Walczak having consulted:
- the Rector of the Maritime University of Szczecin, Prof. Stanislaw Gucma, Master Mariner,
- Prof. Józef Sanecki from the Maritime University of Szczecin,
- Prof. Andrzej Makowski from the Polish Naval Academy,
decided on awarding the distinguished birthday celebrator with the degree and dignity of doctorate honoris causa of the Polish Naval Academy. The award ceremony took place on 29th April 2015 in the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia after a laudation by doctorate promoter Prof Mariusz Zieliński.
