On 6th December, the female and male Swimming Championships were held at the swimming pool of the Maritime University. The competitors were students from our University who swam at the distance of 50 m in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly as well as a 4 x 50 m freestyle relay race.
After several series of races, with loud cheering from crowds of supporters as well as hard work of the Academic Sports Association and the Department of Physical Education and Sport, the best swimmers were selected and awarded with medals, diplomas and prizes handed in by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Navigation, Zbigniew Szozda and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Marine Engineering, the President of the Maritime University Club of the Academic Sports Association, Piotr Treichel.
Congratulations to the competitors for their results and sincere thanks to the supporters and invited guests for their loud support.
