The possibility of cooperation and implementation of joint projects was the main topic of the meeting of the Maritime University of Szczecin and the Croatian delegation from Rijeka. During the visit, 8-9 May, the guests also visited our school.
The delegation of Croatia, represented by the Assembly Chairman of the Primorje-Gorski, Ingo Kamenar and Branko Škrobonja, Director of International Cooperation Department in Rijeka met with representatives of the Maritime University of Szczecin – the dean for full-time studies of the Faculty of Marine Engineering, Katarzyna Gawdzińską, the dean of the Faculty of Navigation, Jerzy Hajduk, PhD, Master Mariner and Plenipotentiary of the Rector for the National Qualifications Framework, Przemyslaw Rajewski, PhD.
During the meeting the guests presented closer the region of their origin and port of Rijeka.
They also learnt about the characteristics and profile of MUS activity as well as the EU projects realized by the university - including size of the EU co-financing and fundraising principles.
As part of the cooperation activities, there were proposed research staff and students exchange, as well as exchange of experience in the field of technology and uniform examination principles and the implementation of joint research projects within the framework of EU funding.
The delegation had the opportunity to visit the University and see, among others, Centre for Marine Traffic Engineering and Laboratory of Marine Power Plant Simulator.
Guests arrived at the invitation of the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Province, Olgierd Geblewicz on the occasion of the opening of the Croatian exhibition TITANIC-CARPATHIA.
