| Successor to Nawigator XXI coming soon
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, during his opening speech at the 11th International Maritime Congress in Szczecin, announced many key ideas concerning the development of the maritime industry in Poland. One of them was the decision to build a successor to our research and training vessel Nawigator XXI. Deputy Infrastructure Minister Arkadiusz Marchewka, also present at the Congress, confirmed the decision and added some details during his interview given to the Polska Morska website:The Maritime Congress, which takes place in Szczecin, is a platform for industry representatives, experts and scientists to meet and discuss current challenges and trends in the development of the maritime economy.
We will build a successor to the Navigator XXI, we will allocate PLN 650 million to the MUS for that purpose. The new vessel will be a vessel equipped with underwater robots, full automation, and will be able to facilitate advanced maritime research. The preliminary plan is to proceed with the vessel's launch in the latter half of 2027
Our students from the MUS Guard of Honour took part in the symbolic handover of the Polish flag from the ship Ziemia Gnieznieńska.
