The second edition of MEWy competition - Trends and Visions for Offshore Wind Energy Development - is now over and we proudly present the winners.

Results of the 2nd edition of the MEWy competition 2021

The participants of the competition presented their projects with full commitment, and the Competition Committee had its hands full trying to select the best entries.

Secondary school student category winners were:

Mateusz Marczewski from ZCEMiP Szczecin, (project entitled: Modern energy infrastructure- cooperation of offshore wind farms with hydrogen power plants and infrastructure),
Dawid Niemiec, Technical Secondary School  no.3, in Wodzisław Śląski, (project entitled: Offshore Wind Farms. How to improve power plants of the future?),

Igor Bondaryk, from Secondary Technical School of Mechanical Engineering and Logistics in Słupsk (project entitled: Trends and development visions for offshore wind farms combined with the development of maritime transport)

Students and doctoral student category winners were:

Robert Nowecki from the University of Warsaw (project entitled: Wind and Solar Convergence)
Filip Czeredys from Warsaw University of Technology  (project entitled: Offshore Wind Energy as a solution for water deficiency and its global impact)
Teodor Sawicki, Katarzyna Połczyńska from Warsaw University of Technology, (project entitled: How to access new wind resources?)

 A total of 14 entries qualified for the Competition - 8 in the high school student category, 6 in the undergraduate and doctoral categories.

Congratulations to all participants and winners of this year's edition for such excellent quality performances!

MEWy competition is an original project of the Maritime University of Szczecin and the Marshal's Office of the West Pomeranian Province, it aims to promote the topic of obtaining energy from renewable sources and to stimulate the imagination of participants and recipients of the Competition. The creativity, knowledge and activity of the participants along with the visionary aspect of the Competition have become its trademark.
