Our university is the first in Western Pomerania that has licensed its academics - creators of technology valued more than € 250 000. The license will enable them to create a business partner of the company and market NAVDEC system (navigation system of decision support).
License agreement was signed between the Maritime University of Szczecin and the team of researchers - the developers of NAVDEC system. In order to grant a license a number of formal requirements, were needed. The next step in the process, which aims to commercialize the invention, will be the setting up a commercial company by the developers and investors - Polish Entrepreneurs Foundation. The newly formed company will commercialize NAVDEC and launch it on the market. A team of researchers of the Maritime University is working under the supervision of Zbigniew Pietrzykowski, PhD.
