On 28. 11.2011 the fourteenth edition of the competition in rowing ergometer for the title of Szczecin was held. As each year's leading Maritime University issued its players, who once again "put rivals on the shoulder." Players representing our school won almost all the possible titles.

The first course was the 4x500m relay team, which included: Kacper Białkowski, Łukasz Gwiaździński, Michał Wasilewski and Łukasz Lech With time, 05:44.7 [s] men gained first place ahead of the same West Pomeranian University of Technology and University of Szczecin.

Then the ladies took off at a normal weight. Rowing ergometer racing in all competitions for the university are played over a distance of 1000m. Here too, the players of the MUS did not give up and took first and second place. The title of Szczecin has been won by the champion Elzbieta Boruń. It should be mentioned that it is the contestant who is also the record holder of the MUS- 3:32:1 [s]. Right behind was ranked Anna Pawlowska. Thus, women have won the team championship of Szczecin.

Next it was the time for men. Our representatives were Konrad Fałat and  Kacper Białkowski, who won the title of the champion of Szcecin with the time 2:55:1, leaving rivals behind. Konrad Fałat, with time 03:11.9, earned the sixth place. For Konrad these were the first games in the Szczecin arena and we believe that this experience will allow the player to beat his rivals next year.

The lightweight women took off.  Stasikowska Karolina oraz Sukhania Anastasiia successively occupying the second and fourth place. Although neither won the individual championship, in the team classification, however, the ladies took the first place. Huge applause for these athletes, because they competed for the first time in this type of competition and put their hearts into fighting for both the second and fourth place, which was really intense.

The last course was run in the lightweight men. The Maritime University issued here the “pearls”, that is. Karol Jaworski and Kamil Tarnowski. The gentlemen won successively the first and third place. The course was the most exciting, because until the very end it was not known who will be the champion. Outstanding at the finish line, however, was Karol. Kamil Tarnowski also deserves a big applause since he previously competed in the AZS championship, for a distance of 2000m, winning the title of the champion and beating his own record - 06:36.8.

All players would like to thank the rowing section coach, Mr. Wojciech Jaśkiewicz, MUS; it is due to his work, exhaustive trainings and involvement in the activities of the section that they could get such a high place.

And we congratulate the players.
