IPITEX 2019 (International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition - IPITEx) was held in Bangkok on the occasion of the Thailand Inventors' Day.
It was the first time that the Technology Transfer Centre of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin had taken part in the exhibition receiving gold medals for the presentation of five inventions:
- a method for detecting the first episode of psychosis
- a cord blood collection kit
- an HIV and HCV treatment kit using virtual algorithms and QR codes
- a prototype of an impression tray for unilateral tooth absence in the mandible
- a mobile sexual health application
The exhibition included the presentation of 434 solutions from 25 countries - the most interesting inventions and innovations of international creators. The participants are inventors, business representatives, scientists representing universities and institutes as well as foreign associations, foundations and institutes specialising within the scope of development and creativity promotion.
The Polish stand was organised by the Association of Polish Inventors and Rationalizers. It presented 24 solutions from the area of science and industry, including 5 from Szczecin. The Szczecin projects were created as a part of the “Innovation Incubator+” programme conducted by the MareMed medical and maritime consortium consisting of the Technology Transfer Centre of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin and the Innovation Centre of the Maritime University of Szczecin.
