17.01.2014, in the studio S-1of the Polish Radio Szczecin was an award gala of the second edition of the national IT contest ‘Interactive IT product’. The Gala took place within the framework of the grand summary of the year in the IT industry, organized by the West Pomerania ICT Cluster.

‘Interactive IT product’ is a contest organized by the Maritime University of Szczecin under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Polish Information Processing Society. Apart from the organizers, the competition jury included representatives of IT companies: ComAngle, Home.pl, ITSERWIS, Microsoft, NetStream, Poland, Technopark Pomerania, Tieto Poland, Unizeto Technologies, Vobis Digital. The companies were also the founders of attractive prizes for the winners.

‘The second edition of the ‘Interactive IT product’ enjoyed even greater popularity than the first one. 400 projects entered the competition. Both in this and the previous editions, the participants demonstrated high level of creativity and knowledge’. - said Piotr Borkowski, PhD, Chairman of the IpIT Organizational Committee.

The winners of the second edition of IpIT were Aleksander Kurczyk and Piotr Wieczorek from the School of Enterprise in Klodzko with their ‘StudyCloud’ project. As an open educational platform, ‘StudyCloud’ offers tools for group collaboration on the Internet. The reward for the authors of the project is a voyage on board M/S Navigator XXI, the training vessel of the Maritime University of Szczecin.

The Second prize went to Damian Kaczyński from the Szczecin College of Information Technology for the project ‘Arduino - the Heart of a Remote Operated Vehicle’ The designer constructed a vehicle controlled by the Arduino system and a remote control. For his project, as a reward, he received a notebook sponsored by Microsoft.

The third place of the podium belonged to Bartosz Chrostek of the Vocational Schools No 2 in Ryki for the project WebCodeGenerator, which is an HTML editor with the function of code generation. The program allows to create web pages by graphic defining of content and style elements such as headings, tables, layers, etc. The author of the project received a tablet donated by Tieto Poland.
