- 1000 PLN scholarship for half of the students,
- remedial courses in mathematics and physics carried out in small groups,
- paid internships in IT companies,
- specialized training in the field of signal processing systems and embedded systems,
- visits to international teaching - research centers
- training for entrepreneurship and ecological solutions in the production process.
Innovative aspect of the initiative is the fact that the deaf and hearing impaired students will find financial support and apart from the benefits they will be subject to additional care taken after. Thus, among other things, there will be employed sign language interpreter who will attend all classes, as well as linguistically mediate to make the necessary contacts with the university administration, offices, etc
Thanks to that the deaf people will be able to take an active part in all the compulsory and optional courses offered by the Maritime University of Szczecin and receive the necessary support to enable them to communicate with the surrounding environment in all important matters.
It will also be possible to use the “bank of hearing” conducted by PZG (Polish Association of the Deaf) in Szczecin, due to which a person with hearing loss can receive support related to the replacement or repair of hearing aids.
Thanks to funding received, there will also be purchased modern equipment and simulators, which will be used in the teaching process
