An information meeting on "Intelligent, green and integrated transport", this being the focus area of water transport in Horizon 2020 funding calls for 2017, was held on 18th October 2016 at the Maritime University of Szczecin.
Participants of the event were composed of representatives of businesses and institutions interested in financing projects within the discussed area.
They were welcomed and introduced to the subject by the Vice Rector for Science, Artur Bejger, PhD, Eng., Prof. of MUS. Presentations were delivered by Angelika Łysiak from the Regional Contact Point for Research Programmes of the EU by the West Pomeranian University of Technology and Rafał Duczmal from the National Contact Point for Research Programmes of the EU. Representatives of the Maritime University, on the other hand, introduced the participants to Horizon 2020 projects currently carried out at MUS: SCORE - Scoreboard of Competitiveness of European Transport Manufacturing Industry and NOVELOG - New cOoperatiVE business models and guidance for sustainable city LOGistics.
The participants were presented with the detailed principles of Horizon 2020 programme as well as the dates and subjects of the nearest funding calls to which they may apply. The first stage of the nearest water transport calls under Horizon programme ends in January and February 2017.
