10/10/2012 at the ceremony of awarding scientific and educational employees of MUS, the Rector also handed in congratulatory letters to Konrad Frontczak and Dorota Idziaszczyk, CTTM employees for qualifying for the prestigious Top 500 Innovators: Science-Management-Commercialization Program, organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The reward is a two-month internships at prestigious American universities, known for their high rate of deployment of their technology in the industry and at the top of the so-called "Shanghai List" (Academic Ranking of World Universities).

Both winners of the competition, will, inter alia, be trained in the field of intellectual property rights, design thinking, creative problem-solving or creating strategy. They will also have a chance to get to know the operation of foreign companies, where the commercialization of research results plays an important role, meet entrepreneurs and representatives of venture capital and ideas to enrich their scientific research. The program includes visits to numerous companies and institutions, such as Google, Cuter and NASA.

Konrad Frontczak received an internship scholarship at Stanford University in California, where he has been staying since 13 October 2012. Dorota Idziaszczyk shall leave in 2013; soon she will be informed by the Ministry about the place of her internship.

Competition Top 500 Innovators: Science-Management-Commercialization is aimed at two groups of scientists or researchers of Polish scientific institutions with the title of MSc conducting their research in the field of science, natural sciences, engineering, agriculture, forestry, veterinary, medicine, science of health and physical education, as well as technology transfer center employees, engaged in the commercialization of research results in the specified fields of science.

To qualify for the list of 40 people elected annually by the Ministry appointed committees, candidates are required to pass an oral exam in English (and demonstrate a knowledge of at least B2 level) and to go through the substantive interview before the committee.
