From 02 to 03 March, the second edition of Green Cities Conference was held in Szczecin. There were 70 participants, including world-famous scientists, representatives of city authorities and enterprises operating in the business connected with transport and urban logistics.
The aim of the Conference was to sum up the activities conducted as a part of GRASS Project as well as exchange of views and experience as regards the issues related to organisation of urban logistics in various parts of the world.
The sessions and discussion panels during the conference were led by: Professor Ron van Duin from Delft University of Technology, Professor Massimo Marciani from Luiss University of Rome, Professor Russel G. Thompson from University of Melbourne, Professor Eftihia Nathanail from University of Thessaloniki, Jerzy Mikulski, PhD, Professor of the University of Economics from the University of Economics in Katowice and Maja Kiba-Janiak, PhD, Eng. from Wrocław University of Economics. The Conference was opened by the chairman of the scientific committee and Grass Project Manager - Stanisław Iwan, PhD, Professor of the Maritime University from the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering of the Maritime University of Szczecin, who also led the first plenary session.
