International Mobility office is proud to inform you that the Maritime University of Szczecin received funding to carry out the MELES project within the framework of the ERASMUS+ programme, action Strategic Partnerships.

The funding was granted for implementation of the MELES project: More entrepreneurial Life at European Schools to be carried out within a consortium comprising |Hochschule Futrwangen, Germany, Białystok Technical University, Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal and University of the Aegean, Greece. We extend our hearty congratulations the manager of the project - Piotr Wołejsza, Chief Mate, PhD Eng., as well as to the whole project team.

The main aim of the project is to introduce a course on entrepreneurial skills into curricula of university faculties with little or no experience in the area. As a result of the project, the universities involved will gain tested solutions from more experienced institutions. Including a course on Entrepreneurship into curricula does not only entail preparing students to run their own businesses. Entrepreneurship is a far wider notion - being an entrepreneurial student stands for awareness of new possibilities, being ready for changes and knowing how to evaluate risks connected with making decisions in their professional lives. The students should know that opening their own business is one of many career paths to follow. Apart from other activities, there are two summer schools planned within the project (Greece in 2015 and Portugal on 2016) for a multidisciplinary group of students from all partner universities. More information on the project will soon be available on the project website: www.meles-project.eu
