For the first time the Marine Rescue Training Center of the Maritime University of Szczecin has conducted a specialist training of fire fighting protection for Bridgestone Company Ltd. from Japan.
The training program covered:
- Sources of fire and its spreading
- Fighting small fires by means of manual fire fighting equipment, inside water-hoses and other fire brigade equipment.
- Operating equipment for air passages protection and basic rescue team equipment
- Cooperation with outside rescue services in reference to passing on indispensable information about the fire location, types of stored substances, gear and installations.
- Practical training – team actions and fire fighting;
- Smoke chamber practical training;
This type of training shall significantly improve safety of the conducted operations, at the same time mastering the already possessed skills of the Bridgestone Company workers.
