Engineering Analysis need not be boring - new design possibilities thanks to the Research Centre for Ships Operation Risk Analysis. 4th April 2012, the MUS will sign an agreement to finance a new project in sub-ROP 1.2.2.Infrastructure R & D, written by Prof. Wojciech Ślączka, Master Mariner.
Due to the project there will be established a center for ship operation risk analysis, which, through the integration of test apparatus for computing, will enable assessment of the probability of failure and its effects on ships and ultimately full visualization of the parameters. In addition to the mentioned above, it will be possible to calculate other indicators of safety of navigation. The Center will be equipped with SolidWorks, which integrates each of the design features of a CAD system, project control and management of technical documentation.
With SolidWorks software, you can design a ship and offshore structures and components including specified equipment and marine systems, which then through the full software compatibility tests can be subjected to exploitation in Nastran solver.
To create an excellent and friendly engineering tool enabling the effective simulation of physical phenomena, the project foresees the use of computational capabilities of NEi Nastran with the modern, intuitive, and powerful pre-post processor Nastran FX, which is an integrated software package designed to use Finite Element Method for engineering analyses.
