September is one of the most intense months of the Maritime Rescue Training Centre due to trainings, so-called 'Candidates', carried out for future students of the Maritime University of Szczecin. Prospective students are involved in the Integrated Training regarding safety, which includes: Personal Rescue Technology, fire protection, elementary medical aid rules and their own safety and common responsibility. In addition to lectures, classes in the form of practical exercises are held.
To enhance recently completed course of Fire Protection,/14.09/, thanks to the courtesy of PSP Municipal Headquarters in Szczecin, OSRM organized for their trainees a demonstration of fire-fighting equipment, which Rescue Fire Fighting Unit No. 1 PSP is supplied with. Students had the opportunity to get familiarized with heavy rescue fire engine GCBA 8,5/42 SCANIA /.
They could see the vehicle equipment and meet the tactical and technical capabilities. Firefighters participating in the show demonstrated full knowledge and skills of operating the vehicle.
The vehicle aroused keen interest of students and was the highlight of the training. OSRM would like to thank Mr Jacek Staśkiewicz, MSc, Municipal Commander, senior Brigadier, for cooperation hoping for further joint ventures.
