Marine Technology Transfer Center offers a training ‘Intellectual property Protection at MUS’ which will be held in the Senate Hall on December 6 (Thursday) at 10.00-11.50. MUS staff and others interested in intellectual property issues are welcome to attend the training.
It is to be noticed that increasingly, terms such as commercialization of research results, technology transfer and intellectual property protection are used, which is closely related to the direction of changes taking place in the European Union to base economy on knowledge. In practice, this also means that according to the new financial perspectives 2014-2020, the European Union, and thus the Polish ministries and implementing agencies, will increase the supply of funds to support the implementation of research results to industry in its wide sense.
During our training, you will learn why intellectual property should be protected, what forms of protection of manufactured goods exist, and who is in charge for the decisions made. In addition, we will present you with Resolution No. 08/2012 of the Maritime University Senate dated from 14.03.2012 ‘Regulations on the management of intellectual property in the Maritime University of Szczecin’ and explain both its content and the impact it has on the invention you have created. We will present you with the procedure steps you need to take in case you have created goods of commercial potential.
