As a result of bad weather conditions in the first half of February (very low temperatures, ice flow on the Oder River) training centers in Szczecin couldn’t organize any practical drills in the water and consequently cancelled the courses.
The Marine Rescue Training Centre wanted to help its trainees in completing the Personal Survival Techniques course (which held between 06-08.02.2012) and together with the Marine Training Centre in Świnoujście organized the practical part of that course especially for the participants.
The participants went to Świnoujście and took a part in the drills at the swimming pool which included jumps into water, getting in and turning over the life raft.
