10.12.2011our rowers organized their rowing Christmas Eve. The tradition of Christmas are: hot beverages, breaking wafers, racing on the Oder and feasting together at the nearest marina. This year, during the meeting was organized a competition between rowing four and two with our coach as a crew member It was pretty funny, because the two showed the tail to the four.
After the race it was time for Christmas Eve with Wojciech Jaskiewicz, the coach, who always plays the role of the “house father” sharing wafer and wishing all the best to us and our families. Then we all share the wafer with each other wishing happiness, good luck in the coming examination session and sporting success in rowing. After the ceremony our feast begins. We have a barbecue with roasted sausages jointly prepared heated drink, a very important part of the Christmas Eve, which each rower can not wait for. We spend time together at the barbecue in a relaxed atmosphere laughing, talking, until we run out of hot beverage, sausages and until the heat of the fire goes out.
The rowing and rowing ergometer sections would like to send the best of Christmas wishes to all the Maritime University staff and students
We wish you happiness, faith, hope and prosperity,
May Christmas fill you with joy and love.
Bring you peace and rest.
And may all your dreams full of optimism and success come true in the coming New Year
