We are pleased to announce that the project BUSINESS Columbus prepared by the Center for Technology Transfer in Marine came in on the 1st position of the ranking list of the Provincial Labour Office in Szczecin.
The project has received funding in the amount of 828 785.88 PLN by the Human Capital Operational Programme.
BUSINESS Columbus Project is a new pilot initiative aimed at students and graduates of our university, through which people interested in starting their own business will have easier access to funds for this purpose.
It will include support for 15 people that meet the following requirements:
- up to 30 years of age,
- location: Szczecin, district of Police or Goleniow,
- status of an extramural student or successful completion of MUS,
- remain unemployed;
The persons qualified to receive broad support of the project including:
- Basic and specialist consultancy ;
- Financial support to allow economic activity up to 40 thousand PLN (one-off support), 1 600 PLN /per month (bridge support for 6 months).
Recruitment for the project will begin in December 2013; the persons qualified after the recruitment based on discussions with a professional counselor and on the basis of a business idea, will go through a 40 hour training of starting and running a business. Next, they shall prepare a business plan with help of the 10-hour individual consultations with experts in various fields. First of rise in May 2014, the young entrepreneurs will not be left without support. After the start of the activities they will be provided with individual expert advice of 20 hours per person.
